The Long Island Board of Realtors has launched a fair housing awareness campaign called “Home to All of us: Committed to Delivering Fair Housing Across Long Island.” The campaign initially focuses on source-of-income protections in New York state and aims to provide information for all stakeholders, including brokers, homeowners, property management firms, and tenants. This initiative comes more than two years after an investigation by Newsday revealed widespread racial discrimination among Long Island real estate professionals. The campaign seeks to educate the industry about fair housing laws and plans to cover various fair housing topics in the future.
